Shontay Lundy
Known For
Solved the white cast problem that every mainstream SPF ignored. Built Black Girl Sunscreen with no investors, a self-funded launch, and the conviction that Black skin deserves sun protection too.
The Story
Shontay Lundy founded Black Girl Sunscreen in 2016 after spending years avoiding sunscreen because of the white cast it left on her skin. She created a product she desperately wanted: and built a brand that made SPF finally make sense for darker skin tones.
